This year, their marker pen had an easier job as whole pages of beautiful products were excitedly circled. Every turn of the page brought something new and thrilling or joy from new packaging that perked up an existing line of products.
Then came the most difficult of all decisions – where the heck was it all going to fit? The shop, already bursting at the seams with amazing all year round produce, just wasn’t going to be big enough.
|
Rather than waiting for it all to arrive and hoping it would fit, the decision was made to purchase a marquee and create a Christmas Shop.Early September saw the arrival of the structure and within 24 hours it was up and being filled. Over the following weeks many more beautiful products were added to the shelves.

Our free-range chickens from Sutton Hoo, Sutton Hoo focus on high welfare; the birds live
in small groups with shelter from the elements, in mobile houses that have no artificial
lighting and are naturally ventilated.
The chickens roam freely over 40 acres of Suffolk meadows, where they are free to peck,
graze and engage in their natural behaviours. They believe that a slower grown chicken,
matured for up to 12 weeks, naturally develops quality, fuller flavour, and succulence.
Our friendly, knowledgeable butchers are always on hand to help with cuts of meat and we
are always happy to help source the more unusual meats.
Our deli is brimming with cheese from across Europe as well as some great English
favourites. We also offer traditional hams, cooked meats, and Dingley Dell’s Artisan
selection of air-dried meats.
Our talented chefs within our on-site kitchen produce a selection of seasonal ready to bake
pies along with soups, sausage rolls, pasties, and dishes such as beef lasagne, cottage pie,
Moroccan lamb stew, lasagne, and many more.
Other local products we stock include, Farmer Browns Rapeseed Oil from Bures, Fairfield
Crisps from Wormingford, smoked fish from Maldon, potatoes from Manningtree, Eggs
from Stanway, and honey produced by the bees on our farm.
For those with a sweet tooth, our on-site bakers create delicious cakes, pastries, and
desserts. Each week we have different sweet treats available.
Our creative bakers are also part of this service offering personalised cakes, bakes and
cupcakes for special occasions.
So why not come in and see how we are doing…
